Blog Organisation:

There are two sections – Topics and Categories. The Topics section contains the introduction to lessons that appear in the Categories section. The postings that I’ve made in the Topics sections cannot be commented on as they are merely meant to inform or introduce. However, if you still need to comment on postings in this section, you could send me an e-mail.

The Categories section is more interactive and comprehensive. It comprises English language lessons that anyone could use as reference or  self-learning resource. Comments are allowed, so feel free to add, provide constructive criticisms or point out errors that I’ve inadvertently made. Jottings is also included in this section for my personal thoughts on issues related to language, particularly the English language. It also includes bloopers on English usage.

Why I’m Doing This

The English Language has evolved since it began some time in the 5th century circa 450AD. Since then, there have been many structural as well as lexical improvements. In fact, the change is never-ending. The existence of English language varieties makes learning this language even more difficult for non-native speakers. This blog aims to provide some help in learning the English language. It is targeted not only at learners of English but also language teachers and enthusiasts.

Furthermore, in order to learn well, it’s good to share.  Despite having to pay annually for the domain name and website maintenance, it’s a small price to pay compared to the satisfaction that I’d get when visitors write useful comments, exchange ideas and add more resources into existing ones.  It makes every teacher a better teacher and every learner a better one, ultimately.

About Me:

I teach English at Multimedia University Malaysia. I’ve been in the academic world for about 20 years as a school teacher, computer trainer, educational consultant, language instructor and finally assistant lecturer, my present position.  You are welcomed to give comments or just to say hello.  Send your messages to my e-mail address.
